NON-INVASIVE COSMETIC PROCEDURES

BOTOX®

Botox is a US FDA approved injectable treatment that temporarily reduces fine lines, crow’s feet and wrinkles between the brows. Botox is a purified protein made by the Clostridium Botulinum Bacterium that reduces the activity of the muscles that cause the aforementioned lines to form.

A typical treatment takes10-15 minutes, with noticeable affects in just a few days. Treatment may last up to 4 months. Botox is effective on both men and women and it typically creates a more refreshed and youthful appearance.

There are a myriad of choices available today to rejuvenate your skin and revitalize your appearance. To achieve the most natural looking and effective results, it is important to choose a procedure that properly addresses the specific concerns you have and a treatment that is able to address the root cause of the issue. There is no other procedure that can duplicate the positive effects of BOTOX®.

BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments involve the injection of very tiny amounts of a purified protein into specific area to improve lines, wrinkles and furrows caused by excessive facial movements such as excessive frowning. In experienced hands the results of this non invasive therapy are predictably wonderful. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most popular aesthetic treatment in the world today, with over 4 million treatments done last year, because of its ability make a person look refreshed, revitalized and younger.
Within just a few days after this completely non invasive treatment you will develop a younger, more relaxed appearance. BOTOX® treatments will elicit comments from friends and coworkers such as, wow, you look great, been on vacation? Get a good night sleep last night? You look beautiful! They will recognize a change, but won’t understand why!

Why is it so popular? Is it just about lines?

There is a common misconception that BOTOX® is merely about treating lines and wrinkles. It only takes one treatment for patients to realize it is much more than that. BOTOX® Cosmetic therapy involves gently reshaping the brows and altering their position as well as rounding and opening the eyes. These beneficial effects translate into a refreshed, more youthful appearance.
The ultimate complement we look for you to get is for your close friends and family to tell you that you look great but not be able to ‘put their finger on it’. Comments like the following are common; have you been on vacation? Have you changed your hair? Have you started working out? Did you get a good night sleep last night?

JUVEDERM®

Juvederm is a facial filler consisting of a smooth gel that when injected helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles, worry lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, marionette lines and smoker’s lines.  Juvederm is made of Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and add volume to the skin.

Juvederm injections take 15 to 20 minutes to perform. The results are immediate, but will still improve over the following week.  The longevity of Juvederm is determined by the initial and correct use of the sufficient volume. The use of more than one syringe may be required for optimal results.

Most side effects are mild in nature and typically last up to five days. The most common side effects include, but are not limited to: redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, bruising, itching, and discoloration.

RESTYLANE®

Restylane is the most well known dermal fillers in the United States, known for its safety, efficacy and longstanding results. Restylane is made out of Hyaluronic acid which closely resembles the same substance that occurs naturally in the body. By replenishing the level of Hyaluronic acid in the skin, fillers can immediately soften lines and wrinkles seen with aging (such as the nasolabial folds) and enhance natural features such as the lips or cheeks. Restylane is injected with a very fine needle during a comfortable procedure that requires no downtime. Because Restylane does not contain any animal-derived ingredients, no skin test is required.

Results are immediate and one should expect to leave the office with natural appearing, softer facial contours and a revitalized appearance.

What areas can be treated?

Restylane treatments can be used to smooth out facial lines, create fuller lips(see Lip Augmentation) and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin. It is a subtle approach to enhancing looks naturally. The most common uses of Restylane are:

  • Wrinkle correction
  • Diminishing worry lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, marionette lines at corners of the mouth, and smokers lines
  • Lip enhancement
  • Reducing the severity of nasolabial folds
  • Chin augmentation
  • Filling cheek depressions
  • Redefining lip border
  • Softening acne scars
  • Filling hollows under the eyes
  • Creating a temporary eyebrow lift
  • Correcting facial depressions caused by fat loss
  • Softening the appearance of jowls

How long does it take to see the results and how long does the Restylane treatment effect last?

The beneficial effects of Restylane are noticed immediately and actually improve over the first weeks as the product absorbs water. One of the great advantages of RESTYLANE is that the effects are long lasting but not permanent. You are always in control of your looks. Lip enhancement: follow-up treatment is normally needed in about 6 months. Duration depends on many factors, such as skin type, lifestyle, age, the degree of perfection demanded by the patient and the injection technique of the practitioner. Facial lines and facial shaping follow-up treatments are usually needed after 6-9 months whereas lip enhancement results last about 6 months. Part of what determines the longevity is whether enough volume is used initially to correct the volume defect. Ideal results may require more than one syringe of Restylane.

Do Restylane treatments hurt?

Restylane injections are well tolerated. For patients that desire it, a topical anesthetic can be used. For areas like the lips, local anesthetic injections like at the dentist, are used to numb the treatment area.
